Every since Druz has taken over dog feeding duties, we have noticed a few (or more) pieces of dog food laying around in the garage floor, next to the bin where the dog food is kept.  About a month ago, I pulled out the bin to refill it and noticed quite a bit of, what looked like, mouse poop.  Dylan, decided to set a couple traps and see what turned up.  If you look closely you will notice this is not a mouse, it is in fact a RAT!  One down, a million more to go, I'm sure.

Its mid November and almost 90 degrees outside.  I'll admit, I love it.  I don't care if it ever gets cold. Some people say its hard to get into the holiday spirit when it stays so warm, but not me.  I'll take it!

I took the kids to the park while Tatum was at dance, then went back after I picked up Tatum so we could enjoy the last couple hours of short and t-shirt weather!

Family Movie Night

We took the kids to see Trolls tonight.  On a school night...shhhhhh.  We are seriously WILD! 😜 The movie was good but the best part for me was not having to cook dinner since we went to Studio Movie Grill. 😁  Now that's a win/win, if I've ever seen one!

How cute is this little guy... all ready to go for church!

Druz had a sore throat this morning.  We had a note go home on Friday from school saying 2 kids had confirmed strep throat in his class.  Yikes!

Needless to say, I didn't want this to linger so we headed on over to Cooks After Hours and got our boy taken care of.  Let's hope this does the trick!

Date Nights are my Favorite Nights!

We've known Robyn since we were little kids.  The opening to her art exhibit was this weekend at Talley Dunn Gallery.  It was so fun to go and I loved hearing her talk about her art work.  She is an amazing artist!

After hanging out and looking at her work, we made a night of it and had dinner at Javier's.  It was so nice to change it up and be so #artsy.  😜

Sports, Sports, and more Sports...

Now that the regular soccer, baseball and cheer season has come to an end for these two I will post their pictures.  I didn't buy the soccer pics in time so you get the watermark version.  Oops

Tatum performed at the Stupid Strong Event today with her squad.  That girl loves being a performer!

Druz had his final baseball game this weekend and they beat the only undefeated team in their league.  Unfortunately, his team wasn't undefeated but it felt good to go out with a bang!

Rangers Field Trip

I went on a field trip with Tatums class as a chaperone.  I always love spending time with my girl but it was pretty cool to see the inside of the ballpark.

This is the batting cages the players practice.  We also got to walk through the dug out and press box.

We got to see the room where they do press conferences...only 3 players have ever been in this room. The Rangers new logo and the lucky horseshoe the players touch before heading out to the field!

They have a play zone at the ball park so the kids got to play for a bit.  We took a group picture in the hall that leads to the locker rooms too.  The picture of us was from our lunch break and then you HAVE to take a picture of A-Rod's mirror!  Can you believe that?!?!?!?  He actually requested The Rangers to put up a mirror just outside the locker room so he could look at himself on his way out to the dugout.

Halloween Festivities

Big day today in the Harig household.  Tatum got glasses!!!  She has to wear them for 4 months and then we go back to see if she needs them full time or just for academics.  She was super excited to get them...and looks too stinking' cute.

Catnips Everdeen, a Knight, and Little Red Riding Hood made their way to our house today.  Grandma even dressed up as the Big Bad Wolf to match!

We can't forget our annual picture in front of the Cemetery entrance and our new addition to this year was Luke the Penguin.  Somehow Dylan also made the neighborhood kids picture this year.

We went trick or treating around the neighborhood and Tatums teacher, Ms. Sanders was at Mrs. Wiliky's house (who was her kinder teacher) and her first grade teacher, Mrs. Bisballe was there too!  Needless to say, she was so excited to see everyone!

Divide and Conquer

We took divide and conquer to a whole new level.  Dylan had his annual trip with his broker dealer and we really wanted some time together.  With four kids it's not as easy as it used to be to get away...even for a few day.

We called in the team and they came through as always.  Ron and Liza drove in from Maine and took care of Camdyn and Luke while Tatum and Druz got to fly to Florida with us.  Once we landed they went in one direction with my Dad and Barbara and we went in the other...childless.  It was amazing!

We can't say THANK YOU enough to everyone that helped with the kids.  We had a great trip and got to revisit what life is like when you can finish a sentence without someone yelling for you!

On the plane heading to Florida!

Relaxing with my babe by the pool...overlooking the ocean.

The view from our room.

The guys played sand volleyball.  There were a few injuries but we all made it back in one piece.

Watching the sunset.

We decided to ride our bikes down the beach to see the boys play volleyball.

Biking back from breakfast on our last day.

Soaking up the last few minutes of peach before the kids arrive!

We were lucky enough to get to se some pictures of the kids while we were gone so we didn't feel too disconnected.  Camdyn wore this for Team Jersey day.  Go Cowboys!

Luke and Playa got a lift in the stroller while going on a walk.

I love looking in the back seat and seeing them loving each other so well.  Druz is such a good big brother (most of the time.)

The dentist with this crew is always entertaining.  Camdyn HAD to wear her halloween costume.  We went to a new dentist this time and they got to pick out a DVD and watch it on a TV above them while the dentist did his thing.  Rough life.

Best friends already

The girls had their faces painted at Tatums Fall Festival at her school

Dylan and I went out and the babysitter let them sleep together.  Dylan went up to move them all to their own beds and this is how they were sleeping.  I think this picture will be used as bribe material later in life.

When I took Tatum in for her yearly check up with the doctor they did a quick eye exam.  I was taken aback by how she did on the test.  She had never once mentioned not being able to see and was never squinting.  Needless to say, I decided it was time to take her to the eye doctor to make she she could see.

Tatum, looking like a hippy at the eye doctor.
She needs glasses so we were just modeling a few pairs.

I took the girls to the pumpkin patch after the eye doctor while they boys stayed home with Dylan.

We got lost in the maze for about 45 minutes.

Things are Coming Along!

Big things happening in Maine today.  We had our propane tank moved to the other side of the house.  One day, we will have a beautiful wrap around porch and the tank was in the way of that on the other side of the house.  Tomorrow, the flower bed goes in.  Can't wait to see how it looks!

Down and Out

Tatum has had a stomach bug all weekend.  Dylan wanted to get out of the house so he planned to take the middle kiddos to church.  About 5 minutes before leaving, this happened to poo Camdyn.  Luckily, she was ok but it sure scared this mamma!  Dylan ended up making it a boys day and just took Druz, then they went to lunch and a birthday party while I nursed the girls back to health!

I can't leave the little guy out.  He is 6.5 months old and still not holding his bottle consistently.  I did get a quick picture of him making some progress today!

She recovered quickly.

Saying Goodbye is Never Easy

Dylan has an uncle that lived in Houston.  In the years since starting his own business, Dylan has grown much closer to him and his family.  He was in an accident almost three years ago. He fell down a flight of stairs while taking a box of Christmas decorations to the attic.  He became paralyzed due to a severe spinal cord injury.

Last week, he was called home.

Dylan left yesterday and I was able to jump on a flight early this morning to celebrate his life and all that he had accomplished in his short 67 years here.  It was so humbling to see all those that showed up to honor him and the life he led.  His daughters spoke at the funeral and couldn't have been more poised and confident.  What a hard task to be given.  I'm sure Steve would have been so very proud.

Pumped or Passed Out?

Dylan is out of town for a couple days.  Druz had a soccer game tonight.  He told me to get him pumped for the game!  Oops...missed the market on that one.

He did score 2 goals in his game, so I'd say in the end I was successful.

Maine House Trip

I spent the last few days in Maine.  It was nice to go during the fall.  It was so beautiful and peaceful. Not crowded at all and I got to spend some time with my mom.

We were able to finish up a few rooms in the house and get it ready to close it out for the winter.  Here's a little tour...

It's not a trip to Maine without having popovers.  We had them at The Asticou Inn for the first time, which was fun to change it up!

This is how Dylan babysits while I'm away.

My last night on the beach.  It was cold, but so so beautiful!
