How could we ever forget?

Druz asked if he could wear this today.  He said he needs to catch upon brownie points with Papa since Tatum is WAY ahead. 

I think it probably worked. 

Adult Time

After our fun day at the Aquarium (it really was fun, even with all the craziness of 9 kids) it was time for some much needed adult time.

I met the girls for drinks at 5 then our hubby's came later for dinner.  It was so nice to relax at the end of a LONG week!!!

Fish and Friends

We went to the Aquarium again but with some friends this time.  There were 5 adults, 9 kids, and 4 strollers.  3 potty breaks, numerous crying fits (from the little babies), and lots of fish later, we all had a good time!

Tiffany was our herder...She would help out with the kiddos when things got out of control.  She has two twin boys ad says she is done with kids...but doesn't she look so cute holding Tatum?  I think she needs a little girl.  ;o)

On the mend

Our ceiling that is...

Once again Mom came to the rescue.  Took Playa to the vet this morning, the kids went to Mother's Day Out, the guy came to fix the ceiling and walls then painted it, while I worked some hours at Double Exposure for Junior League.  Mom sat at the house with the repair guy so I didn't have to cancel all my plans.  Thank God for Moms!

I've been stressed about someone wanting to see the house and us having a gaping hole in the ceiling!  One less thing to worry about now!  Yay!!!

Gymnastics!

Tatum started gymnastics and she had a BLAST!  Today was the first day and Aslynn and Joey are taking it with her.  It's at the same place that Alison, Liz and I all took gymnastics when we were little. 

Labor Day Fun

While Dylan golfed yesterday, the kids and I met up with my Mom at her friends house and played.  Tatum could have stayed forever...

Life Happens...

We had a leak in the attic last week so we had a plumber come out and fix it...so we thought.  Apparently there were two leaks and he only fixed one.  A week later (yesterday) it finally started seeping through the ceiling in a different spot than before.  At 9pm last night our ceiling fell through in Tatum's room, right into her crib!  Water, insulation , floor boards, wood, nails, etc. came crashing down.  TATUM WAS NOT HURT.  I told Dylan I wasn't comfortable putting her in her bed with the leak on her ceiling so we got down the pack and play and she slept in our room.

The plumber was here for almost 4 hours fixing it.  He finally left at 2am.  Druz decided to sleep 9 hours and 45 minutes and Tatum slept in until 9am!  They must have known Mommy and Daddy needed the extra sleep!

Did I mention our house is on the market??? 

Potty Time!

We started potty training on Saturday.

The morning was a little rough and slow going.  I haven't cleaned up that much pee in my entire life, let along one day...BUT she had her first successful potty in the potty at 11:45am and pretty much caught on after that.  I'm sure it had nothing to do with Dylan and I making complete fools of ourselves doing the potty dance and screaming and yelling like we just saw our favorite football team score the game winning touchdown.

That's not to say the rest of the day was perfect, but there were no major accidents and she knew every time that she had to get to the potty FAST! 

We happened to have a showing from 11-12 so we packed up the potty and went to Beth and Keith's since they live close by and we knew we couldn't go far.  They weren't home so we just hung out on their porch, potty and all (yes, we are white trash!).  Luckily the showing didn't last the full hour so got home around 11:30, just in time for her big success!!!

The potty was behind a column so no one could see her.  She would go chase birds and then run back to go potty.  She loves watching the Potty Dance video on the iGo Potty app.  Good Times!

Yesterday she only had 2 accidents and one was a #2, which she was unsure about doing on the potty but got it down later in the day and the second accident was because she fell asleep in her big girl pants and had an accident before she got out of bed after her nap...mommy's fault.

Today she hasn't had any accidents yet so we are making serious progress and I'm happy she is doing so well, yet a little sad that she has grown up so fast!

Love Letter

Tatum had a sweet little note along with a flower from Daddy waiting for her on her high chair this morning.  When she saw it she gasped like she was so happy and surprised.  It was very cute.  The note said. "Good Morning Tatum, Daddy loves you!"

Play Date

Tatum got to swim and play with Joey and Brody today.  She loved every second of it!  So did Druz!

Druz sat in the walker for about 20 minutes just playing with toys and hanging out.  His feet could even touch the ground...My boy is growing up!
