Down and Out

Tatum has had a stomach bug all weekend.  Dylan wanted to get out of the house so he planned to take the middle kiddos to church.  About 5 minutes before leaving, this happened to poo Camdyn.  Luckily, she was ok but it sure scared this mamma!  Dylan ended up making it a boys day and just took Druz, then they went to lunch and a birthday party while I nursed the girls back to health!

I can't leave the little guy out.  He is 6.5 months old and still not holding his bottle consistently.  I did get a quick picture of him making some progress today!

She recovered quickly.

Saying Goodbye is Never Easy

Dylan has an uncle that lived in Houston.  In the years since starting his own business, Dylan has grown much closer to him and his family.  He was in an accident almost three years ago. He fell down a flight of stairs while taking a box of Christmas decorations to the attic.  He became paralyzed due to a severe spinal cord injury.  

Last week, he was called home.  

Dylan left yesterday and I was able to jump on a flight early this morning to celebrate his life and all that he had accomplished in his short 67 years here.  It was so humbling to see all those that showed up to honor him and the life he led.  His daughters spoke at the funeral and couldn't have been more poised and confident.  What a hard task to be given.  I'm sure Steve would have been so very proud.

Pumped or Passed Out?

Dylan is out of town for a couple days.  Druz had a soccer game tonight.  He told me to get him pumped for the game!  Oops...missed the market on that one.

He did score 2 goals in his game, so I'd say in the end I was successful.

Maine House Trip

I spent the last few days in Maine.  It was nice to go during the fall.  It was so beautiful and peaceful. Not crowded at all and I got to spend some time with my mom.  

We were able to finish up a few rooms in the house and get it ready to close it out for the winter.  Here's a little tour...

I came, I saw, We conquered

Camdyn, Luke and I conquered the grocery store today.  

I never (and I mean NEVER) take the kids to the store.  Today, I decided I had the patience to go and grab a few things we needed, plus its always nice to get out of the house.  Camdyn rocked it in her car and just sat and read her book while making race car noises for every move we made.  It was greatness.  All while the baby slept in his car seat in the cart.  #teamharigwinstoday

This Girl...

Because who doesn't wear a beanie and gloves to eat lunch in the middle of June...in Texas?!?!?!?!?  This girl walks to the beat of her own drum and I love it!

3 Months already?!?!?!?

This little guy is 3 months old today.  He is so sweet and almost always happy.  My lowest maintenance child by far.  He smiles and coos and is really starting to "talk".  I haven't quite mastered a schedule with him but he is so easy going I'm not worried about this one.  He is sleeping 11 hours most nights but still gets up occasionally on random nights.

All the kids love him to pieces.  Tatum is my little helper and will pick him up and hold him if I'm busy with something and he gets fussy.  Druz talks to him as if they are best friends and Camdyn will likely break his neck one day because she loves kissing and hugging him.  She loves him HARD, and I mean that in more ways than one.   I love the love these kids have for each other.

He is already over all my pictures...he may not be the happiest 2 month old around but none the less...he turned 2 months today!  Yay!

1 month old!!!

I can't believe this little guy is one month old today!  Time has flown by!  I can't get enough of him.  I never want to put him down and don't mind being up all night feeding him.  Must be because I know he is my last...I'm trying to cherish every second.

Sunday!

After Rooted this morning Gabby came over to meet Luke.  The kids played and we caught up.  Love seeing her and her crew!

My college roommate, Michelle, is having a baby boy in July!  I loaded Luke up and made the 2 hour drive out to Possum Kingdom Lake to celebrate her and the baby to be!  It was so good to see her...its been years!

Presidents Day!

I took part of my crew to the movies this morning since they were off from school.

We got there early so I let them each play a game in the arcade.  Druz went straight for any game with a gun...which I wouldn't let him play (they were all very gory) and Tatum wanted to dance.  Surprise Surprise.

After the movies Tatum went on a playdate but our day off is never really a "day off" for Moms...Tatum had dance and Druz had soccer so the taxi never rests. 

Sunday Funday

Sunday was full of activity...Dylan and I headed to Rooted at church for the morning and then Tatum had a birthday party and Girl Scouts.  They made purse cakes at the birthday party and had a little Valentines Party at Girl Scouts.  The whole family came over for dinner and mom made Chinese Noodles...Dylans favorite!

Moms are the BEST!

My mom kept Camdyn while we went to Tatums basketball Saturday afternoon.  I'm just too uncomfortable and she is too wiggly to wrestle with for an hour.  It was nice to just sit and watch Tatum play.

After her game Mom offered to watch the kids over night...WHAT?!?!?!?!  You don't have to ask me twice!  So, after church we dropped all the kids off and Dylan and I got a surprise date night, which was nice!

Valentine School Party's

Camden's Party at school was Thursday.  They don't invite parents since it could be upsetting to some of the kids but I got a couple pics before she headed off to class.  

I have to give Dylan some credit on this one.  I sat out her clothes and he dressed her.  I wish I had been home (I was volunteering at Tatums school) to hear him dressing her.  I'm guessing he was annoyed and not exactly sure how the leg warmers were to be worn.  He did good...although he did have her leg warmers on her arms...love that guy!

It must have been a crazy party because she was still completely passed out when I cam to puck her up after school.  It was the first time I had to wake her up from her school nap.

The other two had their parties on Friday.  At the same time, of course.  I started at Tatums party and got it all set up and going then jetted out about 15 minutes early so I could make an appearance at Druz party.  We were able to divide and concur so Dylan was at Druz party incase I couldn't make it but he specifically asked me to come so I had to make it happen!

Big Damn Deal

Today was an awesome day and will be noted in the history of our little Harig family.  

Dylan works very hard and I don't give him enough thanks and credit most of the time.  Today we met a HUGE goal of ours.  One of those things you dream about but never really know if you can make it happen.  I'm so thankful for him and his motivation to never give up and dream big!

We closed on our summer home in MAINE!  Yes, that's right...Maine!  We have spent a few weeks every summer there and decided to take the leap and get a little place to call our own.  

We are super excited and can't wait to spend some time there this summer!!!

Frozen

Tatum is obsessed with Frozen right now.  A little late to the party but nevertheless, she made it.  My mom gave her this braid she she wore it with pride, singing "Let It Go", all morning.  I love her and her big personality!

Library

Druz is LOVING the library right now.  I take Tatum on occasion to check out books but this was the first time I have taken Druz and actually sat with him and let him choose a topic and find a book.  We usually go for stay time or some other activity and don't have time (or patience with 3 kids) to pick out books.

He was thrilled.  We sat at the computer and he picked them all out on his own.  He wanted books on Greyhounds (because they are the fasted dogs in the world), and planes (because they are just cool and he wants to fly F-15s one day).

He is getting so big so fast.  I love this kid and his sweet spirit!
