Summer Fun!

Summer has started off with a bang!  We have had such a fun week and then The Williams invited us over for dinner and swimming tonight.

After taking the girls to camp, I met Ali and the boys at the movies to watch The Lorax.  We have summer movie tickets so Druz and I made a mommy/son date out of it this morning.

Druz was at Hudsons for most of the afternoon while I picked up the girls from camp.  These two are like bread and butter!

Thanks to the Williams for the delicious food and fun times!

Love these cuties!

Boys will be boys!

After swimming they drove the cars and tractors

It's so fun hanging out with other families with kids the same age!

Camp Thurman

Tatum was at Camp Thurman this week.  She got to go all day.  We met at 8am to get the girls in to the right car and then off they went every morning!  They came home everyday, laughing and giggling and talking about all the great things they did.  It was so fun hearing them talk about their day.

The camp is christian based so the girls had to memorize a scripture verse during the week and recite it for all the campers today.  She practiced everyday when she got home!

"Have I not commanded you?  Be Strong and Courageious, do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you may go."  Joshua 1:9

This was from Day 2.  The girls and their whole crew.

This was our carpool...We got to see these sweet faces every morning and afternoon.

Day 2 car ride!

This was the girls with Ditto, their counselor, after the camp today.  They were all so sad to see the week end but already talking about how fun it will be next year!

G-Force VBS

The boys had VBS this week while the girls were at Camp Thurman.  Today was their last day.  Don't believe what you see, they really did have a good time all week, Druz was just being grumpy.  These were stop lights they made during the week.

When I pulled up after dropping Tatum off for camp, this is what I found on my front porch.  These two just sitting, blowing bubbles together.  Be Still My Heart. :o)

Tatum made this bracelet at camp today.  She was very proud of it.

My girls doing some school work.

Druz working on his Star Wars work books.  It may be summer but we aren't slacking around here!

Animal Adventures

I took Druz to the library today.  They have all kinds of fun stuff going on all summer long.  With Camdyn at Ms. Rebeccas for the day and Tatum at camp, the little guy and I headed over to see what fun there was to be had.

They had an alligator, snake, penguin, turtle, birds, and a few others for the kids to hear all about.

These cuties have baseball on Mondays this summer, so after picking them up at VBS, we walked across the street for a quick picnic and to run around before heading to baseball!

Uncle Bill's Camp Thurman

I got these pictures from Camp Thurman today...had to share because my little boy is all grown up!

I love this smile!  Great picture!

His face in this one is priceless!  I had to zoom in repost!

These pictures are so funny to me.  The first time I saw them I was laughing uncontrollably all day when I would just think about it!

The boys camp counselors name was Won Ton, Druz would come home every day telling me how funny he was.  I love that he had such a great time!

Good to be Home

The kids were in the pool when we got home so Dylan wasted no time getting changed and playing with these three crazies!

This little girl is wild and I love every second of it...maybe not EVERY second but most of them!

Weekend Away...

or what some may call, Last Time Couples Trip 2015.

Thanks to my Mom, Sister, and a whole army of sitters, Dylan and I got to have a weekend away with some friends.

We headed to Lake LBJ Thursday afternoon and returned Sunday.  We really had a fun time with everyone!

We took an evening boat ride when we got in.

Getting our weekend started!

Our morning view!

The golfers...Dylan said he didn't play great but at least he didn't take out a building like some of the other guys!

Tatum and I were texting each other (it's weird that she knows how to do that), so this was me telling her Hi!

The ladies headed to the spa for the day while the guys golfed, we all met back up afterwards and enjoyed some pool time at the resort

Keeping it classy with our canned champagne.

Katie and Becca went tubing while the rest of us watched and enjoyed the ride!

Chad perfecting his 360 dive.

Our last cruise on the boat, heading to fill up before hitting the road.

This was a little video Katie and Chad put together to remember our weekend!

End of Year Party

I'm so thankful for friends that are willing to take my kids places when I can't!  Tatum had her end of year party after school today and since Dylan and I were driving to the lake to meet some friends, Geri offered to take her for me!

She even sent me a picture.  I love seeing her having fun, even if I can't be there to watch!

Kindergarten Graduation!

I remember when I thought my kids would NEVER be old enough to go to school.  I'm proud to say we both made it through her first year of elementary school.  It was quite a successful year, in my opinion.  Although I may be a little biased.

Before she started in August at the age of 4...we were considering holding her back.  Solely because her age, she was ready academically.  So ready, we later found out, that she spent the second semester of the school year going to 1st grade for reading and went to Math Lab for math.  Math Lab is where they send the kids that have "mastered" the skills currently being taught in class, so they go to the library and do independent learning.

I loved volunteering and meeting all her friends and getting to know her teacher, Mrs. Williky better.  It was a great first experience for both of us being the rookies we were!

This girl is a ROCK STAR!  I never once had to ask her to do her homework.  She would get it out the second we got home from school on Mondays and do it herself.  She reads Druz and I bedtime stories some nights.  She has the kindest heart and is so very nurturing to everyone.  Always my big helper and the best big sister anyone could ask for!  I love her from the hair on her head to the bottom of her feet and that little soul she is growing inside, couldn't make me prouder!

I love you Tatum and am over-joyed at what an awesome year you've had!

A couple of the moms and I helped the class get dressed in their "gowns".  AKA Dads white dress shirts.

Getting ready to hit the stage.

Making her walk across the stage cafeteria.

All 3 kinder classes ready for their performance

Don't let that sweet smile fool you!  She was a holy terror during the ceremony.  Dylan and I were constantly trading off.  I spilled my coffee twice on the people behind me and was sweating about 5 minutes into the 45 minute ceremony.  This girl is always on the move and keeps us on high alert at all times!  Love her little spirit, even when I want to pull my hair out!
