Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving week in Florida with Dad and Barbara.  It was nice to get away and the kids love visiting.  Now if we could just work out the weather situation we would be all set.  I swear every time we head to Florida the weather is in the 80s the week before we get there and then drops to 60 when we arrive.

Something is wrong with this picture.  Why am I sitting on the same side as all three kids???

We have some friends that live in the Orlando area so we stopped at their house for dinner the first night we were there before driving up to Dads.  It was fun hanging out with them and the kids had a good time playing.

We celebrated Dad's birthday while we were there.  His birthday is on Christmas Eve so it usually gets crammed in with Christmas and that's just no fun.  Barbara thought it would be fun to do it while we were there so we could celebrate with him.

The kids helped open his gifts.  Barbara got him a Kindle.

The birthday boy!

It's almost like he was a kid again!
Those cupcakes were HUGE and the kids don't eat sweets all that much.  We said they could share one and Papa trumped us and said they could have their own.  I guess you can't argue with the birthday boy!  Thankfully we only visit him a few times a year.  Needless to say, the kids had tummy aches the rest of the night but seemed to enjoy the cupcakes while eating them!

Camdyn is like…"What is going on???"

She is already tired of all the pictures.

We headed to dinner one night and then did a little dancing with the live band in Lake Sumter Landing
Dylan and Dad went golfing one day so Barbara and I took the kids to a cute little farm.

We fed chickens, pet rabbits, milked a goat, and fed the cows

The kids also got to go on pony rides.  Druz loves it until the horse makes any movement with his head…he thinks the horse is going to attack him or something.  He had fun in the end but you couldn't tell from the picture.
