I know, I'm a bad blogger, I just haven't had the time lately. My wedding is just taking up a lot of time.
Here's a little summary of what we have/have not accomplished.
I have NO florist/flowers. That means for the wedding ceremony or the reception. I'm still not freaking out over it. I have a few florists to contact but so far they are all booked for my date. Thats ok though, I'm keeping it simple so no worries.
There are 63 people booked and ready to go for the wedding. I figured between 50 and 75 when I started planning so I was pretty close. There are still 6 more weeks, I don't expect anyone else to really book unless a miracle special comes out but I don't see that happening either. We are gonna have FUN FUN FUN!!! Hope everyone brings their dancing shoes (or flip flops!)
Its been fun planning the wedding, just wish I didn't have a day job while doing it. Picking out colors and dresses and ties and decorations and getting to be creative. I can see why people do this for a living. Especially when they are spending other peoples money (I'm talking about wedding planners, not people that get married a lot)
The reception will be on the beach so everyone please pray for no rain.
I picked up my dress on wednesday from the alterations place. Its perfect and I even found a great bra to wear with it. Its hard to find the right under garments. Really it is. It has to be low cut or no straps, etc. Girls understand.
I love the heels I'm wearing in the wedding. I wish I could wear them all the time but they would look funny if I wore them with regular clothes. Oh well, I will enjoy them for the hour I get to wear them. I have flip flips for the reception ;o)
The Groomsmen gifts are pretty cool, in my opinion. I wish I was getting what they get. Sorry girls, his gifts are better. ;o( But yours are still cool.
Tyler and Vitross are going to wear bow ties, same as Dylan. The other groomsmen are wearing regular ties. Dylan wanted "family" to match. Isn't that cute!
I'm really excited about the wedding but I'm REALLY REALLY excited about getting the pictures back AFTER the wedding, is that bad?
I'm nervous about walking down the aisle and everyone staring at me! Good thing we are getting married in Mexico because I'm nervous about 65 people... Imagine if there were 200!!! I think I would FAINT!
I wish I knew a cute little girl that could be a flower girl. Not that Vitross needs anyone to share the spotlight with but it would be cute. ;o)

Bridal Shower
Not much has been going on, just wedding planning and work so I haven't been boring everyone with the details the last couple weeks. Everything is coming together so that is good and makes me a little more relaxed.
Saturday I had a bridal shower. My bridesmaids hosted it. They did such a great job! The theme for Mexican Fiesta for obvious reasons. Here are some pics.

Me and My new Ladle
This is what Dad and Barbara gave me, I assume he will expect me to use it when he comes to town next.
These are stamps with Dylan and I's picture on them. Isn't that a unique gift! I can't wait to use them.
Dylan's Mom had these labels made. Everyone at the party got one as well as a little favor bag. Now I can look at a picture of myself while drinking wine!

This was the towel cake I got from the bridesmaids, isn't it cute!!!
If you have never had a Sprinkles cupcake in your life, you are missing out on one of life's little secrets. They are so good! I had 5 over the course of the weekend! YIKES!

Mother's Day
For Mother's Day this year we went to Cliff's Cafe. Its a little restaurant in the Belmont Hotel in Dallas. The food was GREAT! None of us had ever been but Vicki heard great things about it so we decided to try it out.
I'm a little irritated cause I forgot to take ANY pictures! We must have just enjoyed each others company so much. ;o)
So, Happy Mothers Day to all the Mom's out there, especially mine, who has given me unconditional love and support through everything...even when I was a brat.

Dylan had a flag football game on Sunday. In the last play of the game, he jumped up and collided faces with another player. He now has about 6 stitches on his chin. He didn't even call me to tell me. Just drove to the hospital on his way home. I wasn't happy, but glad it was just a few stitches and nothing serious.
Last night we went to a Jack Ingram Concert downtown at the Bass Performance Hall. I've never been to Bass Hall, which is so beautiful and a really great place to watch a concert. Its small and very intimate. Not a bad seat in the house.

As we were enjoying our martini's and dinner, in walked Jack Ingram. I didn't know him from the bus boy but that's what everyone said, so he sat at the table behind us and ate with, what I assume were his parents. Either way, it was pretty cool.

Tool Time Shower
Beth and Keith hosted a Tool Time Shower for Dylan and I last night at The Colonial Country Club.
Before the shower, I had a MAJOR fashion emergency. I was ready to go, just had to throw on my shirt which I purchased earlier in the week. I even had my nails and toes done to match my outfit! As I was putting it on I noticed that it was a bit heavier on one side, Weird, right...well the store forgot to take off the sensor. So I freaked out. I hadn't planned for this and just kept yelling to Dylan, "I DON'T HAVE A PLAN B, I DON'T HAVE A PLAN B." I seriously assembled the perfect outfit for this event and then 2 minutes before we are walking out the door, it all falls apart. Needless to say I somehow through another outfit together in about T minus 2 while Dylan just kept saying, "We can't be late, We can't be late."
This week I will be taking the shirt back to Dillard's and have them remove the sensor. I will also let them know exactly how I feel about the whole situation in the process! In the end the worst only thing that went horibbly wrong was that my Cajun Shrimp (coral) nails did NOT match my hot pink shoes and shirt!
Back to the Shower...
Everything was so good! The food, the 'Ritas, the company... just everything. Dylan and I had a really great time and Dylan got some really cool stuff! We played a few games that were fun and clearly established that Dylan and I are meant to be (see picture below with opposite shoes being held up.) We didn't exactly agree on EVERYTHING.

Ummm, So Whats Next???
Weddings suck and here are the reasons why:
1. Our Reception site fell through last week.
2. Our Florist decided to wait 2 months to tell me that the flowers I requested are not going to be possible so they also fell through...yesterday
3. Deciding who gets to be invited to what is crappy, its like choosing the popular kids in high school or something. And then you have to follow all the rules of inviting people to only 1 shower. Why can't you just invite everyone to everything and then let them choose which one they want to go to??? Wouldn't that work out better for everyone???
4. WHY DON'T PEOPLE RSVP?!?!? ITS SO RUDE!!!
Just a few comments on the above. I'm stressed but keeping my cool. Not sure if you noticed, but if you look to the right you will see that I have about 2 months and 25 days till the wedding. Not a lot of time to figure this whole thing out, especially since I LIVE IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY.
Whoever said destination weddings are SOOO much better, should seriously be hung.
Weddings are FUN and here are the reasons why:
1. Dylan and I have a shower this weekend. Its really for him. Its a "Tool Time" Shower. We are really excited.
2. This event (aka wedding) gives me good reason to buy new clothes.
3. I can't WAIT for Dance Party 2008 at the reception. I hope everyone brings their dancing shoes! (This is all dependent on whether we FIND somewhere to have the reception...I joke...kind of)

Weekend
Tyler was over this weekend. We picked him up late Friday night. Somehow we ended up at the golf range at 8:30am Saturday morning. Tyler is a pretty good golfer. He was hitting them really well. Saturday afternoon we went to a crawfish boil at one of Dylans friends houses. Tyler had never had crawfish before but said if it was anything like shrimp he knew he would like it. By the end of the night he was sucking their heads like a professional crawfish eater. GROSS!

Here Comes The Bride...
My Wedding Dress came in on Monday. Mom and Vicki went with me on Tuesday to try it on and pick it up.I love it and it makes me feel like a bride when I wear it. I can't decide if I want to go with a veil or not so that is the next thing I need to figure out. With getting married outside by the ocean it can be windy and my veil may end up looking more like a mask. So, we will see. I may buy one and then make a game time decision.
P.S. Thats not my REAL dress just a random picture. ;o)

Liz's Wedding
I was back in Florida again last week for one of my girlfriends weddings. It was a gorgeous wedding. Dylan and I had a BLAST!
We got in late Thursday night and stayed with our friend Robert. We went to this new restaurant called Vita in South Beach for a drink. Micky Rourke and Naomi Campbell were also there. I've only seen Micky's mug shots and always thought he looked ROUGH, he looks just the same in person if anyone was ever wondering. I didn't get to see Naomi (yes, we are on a first name basis) because I was leaning on the bar talking to my mom on the phone when she walked by. Dylan was facing the opposite direction and when he told me she is walking by I looked the wrong way and then when I looked back she was already out the door. Oh well, she probably would have just thrown something at me anyways.

So Friday we made our way up to Fort Lauderdale for a weekend of wedding festivities.
